The 26th edition of the ADAC SX Stuttgart took place last weekend on November 14th/15th. This year the event was really great, more than 15000 enthused spectators over 2 evenings and a really great and technical track which promises awesome race action.

The new “King of Stuttgart” in class MX1 is from the USA and team Pfeil Kawasaki, Jeff Gibson. Making no mistakes and finishing 2 times on the third place the results were good enough for the overall win. For sure he was not th e fastest rider this weekend but his consistence was the base o f his victory.

2nd and 3rd place on the o verall podium went to Matt Boni (USA) and Jacob Saylor (both riders from Sturm Kawasaki). Matt Boni won the final on Saturday easily but didn’t qualify on Friday. Saturday main event was dominated by Boni.

Siebler leading in front of Sewell

He was first after the start and rode smoothly to a win 5 seconds ahead of Cole Siebler (USA/Team Honda Meyer). His profit was that Joaquim Rodrigues was 2nd after the start and he blocked all the riders for several laps. After getting 2nd position Siebler was about 8 seconds behind leader Boni.

For Jacob Saylor it was nearly the same. Winning the final on Friday he couldn’t make it for the final on Saturday. Saylor was really fast and smooth on the track but had bad luck in the last chance race after a bad start. Only half a second kept him out from the final.

Jacob Sailor

The hopes of the German fans were focused on Daniel Siegl (the best German performer in German Supercross since years) and local hero Manuel Chittaro. Chittaro couldn’t make it to the final on both evenings. His riding was not so
bad but he was not fast enough to go in the finals.

Daniel Siegl

Siegl was 6th in the Firday final (after getting a wild card) but crashed hard on Saturday. In the last chance qualifying race for the main event he was second till the last lap. Then he made a mistake and Filip Neugebauer (CZ/Pfeil Kawasaki) was close behind him. In the penultimate corner Siegl made a further mistake and took the outside line so Neugebauer went to the inside and bocked Siegl out of the track. Siegl cames back on the track and collided again with Neugebauer in the whoops section. He crashed hard and broke his collarbone.

Start of the final on Friday

MX2 winner was Ben Evans (USA/Team Honda Meyer). He was the best rider in this class and got a earned victory. He was followed by two british riders, Jack Brunell and Ashley Greedy.
