Yves Demaria claimed his second consecutive win during the Spanish round of the MX3 World Championship, organised in Talavera de la Reina. The Frenchman won the first heat, but crashed in the second moto while leading the event. "I struggled this weekend with the brakes, and in the second moto I lost my front wheel on a sliding corner. The engine staled and I came back on the track in third position behind Oddenino and Staufer. It's always difficult to pass in Talavera, and I lost time behind Staufer; when I passed him Oddenino was far away, and I couldn't catched him," explained the factory KTM rider who his leading the series, followed by Sven Breugelmans. The reigning World Champion finished third in Spain, behind Demaria and Italian Enrico Oddenino who scored his best ever result in a World Championship.
